The media has cast it as a sex scandal so they're mostly focusing on the smutty texts but it's an extremely straightforward ethics scandal: "If Trump gets elected my boyfriend has a job."

She should be followed for the rest of her life by the parents of children who died of preventable diseases.

She might not understand why that’s a question she needs to answer, but we should help her figure it out.
People think this is about whether she helped RFK's campaign but it's really about whether she helped Trump's. She was helping her boyfriend (or whatever the fuck he was) get a role in the Trump administration while writing about the election.

And she covered Trump's campaign while her lover was negotiating for a role in his administration!

We're in an inter-constitutional moment not dissimilar to the Civil War period where we have to write a new constitution via constitutional convention or achieve a position whereby we overhaul the existing one (only possible in a post-Civil War type situation where the GOP is out of the picture).

BREAKING: The Supreme Court just announced it will hear our case challenging President Trump’s attempt to end birthright citizenship.

Every child born on U.S. soil has a right to citizenship. We’ll see the president in court.

Two independent studies found that AI chatbots were better at persuading voters than political ads. The most persuasive bots also lied the most. This is something that humans working in psyops have known for decades. AI is psyops at scale. www.technologyreview.com/2025/12/04/1...

The Supreme Court argued that there was no intent by Texas lawmakers to draw district lines on considerations of race—just naked partisan politics (which, to be clear, makes it legal).

Got blocked for this by someone who is going on a rant that by using “anti-transmasculinity” as a “transman or transmasc” I have fallen into “pro-TERF ideology”
You know, there are a lot of good ways you can push back against anti-transmasculinity.

Transmisogny is not - and will never be - one of them.

If that’s your weapon of choice: you are my enemy. 🔨

"All is lost" narratives are popular because people generally do not want to take action. Taking action is tiring so if all is lost, you are off the hook. Nothing is more seductive than not having to do anything.

Their ignorance is by design and wholly sought after by the powers that be.

Trump being in power isn't a bug, but a feature of whatever stage of capitalism this is now.

To overturn a democracy you don't even need to overturn it. Because education and journalism are required for making decisions, all you need to do is break education and turn journalism into propaganda. You can still have elections, but now they won't matter.
More proof of what @prisonculture.bsky.social says that most people in this country have no idea what's going on:

Yesterday two different clients told me they wanted to take their cases to the Supreme Court because they knew there was still a liberal majority.

ACIP member Dr. Cody Meissner:

"'Do no harm' is a moral imperative. We are doing harm by changing this wording. And I vote no."

I don't think normal people have any idea that the US Government just talks this way now.

It's not just Trump and some rando podcasters (which is bad enough). It's our government. In a democracy. Ours.

Once again, it is a huge problem that if you were to straightforwardly describe what the government is doing and saying to someone who hasn’t been paying attention, they would think you were an obvious liar

In the muppets universe do you think there is one muppet who is regarded as a dangerous conspiracy theorist for yelling about how everyone is being secretly controlled by a hand inside them

The other muppets think this is a metaphor, and he's like "no it's a literal hand inside you! Inside you all"
