noticed that my day - any given day, in fact - is always substantially improved by abruptly throwing my phone down and making myself do literally anything else. in light of this revelation I will continue to almost never do this

underrated detail in Half Life 2 is that the Combine integrate technology from the civilizations they conquer (thus the name) so you get amalgamations of alien tech with human stuff. Then you get to the attack helicopter and they've changed... nothing. "yeah we're having that one as is, no notes"
