It’s discussed a bit in the ep but this was one of the more surprising single games I’ve ever played at the table and it was SO fun and weird. Huge shouts to Bij, Jenn and Shan for FULLY committing.
now that we’re halfway through the decade, i do think the lesson of the 2020s is that some friction is both good and necessary. relentless optimization has clearly made a lot of things about society much worse. my wish for the back half of the ‘20s is that we put that friction back where it belongs

not to relitigate anything, but: me and some friends published a blog during lockdown with contributors from all over, and while I can’t really look at it anymore it still exists as a monument to how bad things were. it’s an actual history, written before people started trying to score points
This is also why I think New Yorkers have a different view on the pandemic than other people. We remember what March and April 2020 was like, we were the part of the country that got to witness how bad it could be. I remember the field hospital and the trucks full of bodies. I remember the sirens.
