Non-philosophy is, quite simply, the preservation of radical immanence. Philosophy requires it to operate but eschews it in construction. It’s neither negative nor positive feedback, a different kind of logic foreign to traditional metaphysics and causality
“The entire modern practice of terrorism using spectacular violence to expand a political agenda, often targeting civilians, well that all began with the anarchists”

The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.

Today, we are remembering David Graeber, who passed away five years ago.

“Nothing could conceivably be more violent than to tell us—and particularly our young people—we are forbidden to even dream of a peaceful, caring, world.”

Do radical market theorists ignore or criticize psychoanalysis due to the history of the field and its close relationship with Marxism, or the preference of the mathematics of a “generalized will” over the “libidinal economy”?

Wondering if Curtis Yarvin speaking at a middle class festival in London with a host of mainstream figures is some kind of joke.

Unless this kid made hundreds of thousands of publicly accessible pieces on the topic, everything that is regurgitated here is instead the AI company giving non-prescriptive statements from their existing models, designed not to be too radical or deviating to the average aggregate audience
At 4p ET/1p PT, I’ll have a one of a kind interview with Joaquin Oliver. He died in the Parkland school shooting. But his parents have created an AI version of their son for a powerful message on gun violence. Plus TX Rep. @jamestalarico.bsky.social - see you soon on Substack and later on YouTube.

The challenge for psychoanalytic metaphors utilizing architecture and geometry is not to turn “man” into an immurement: some dead instrument or “keystone” to hold together the theory. This is similar to how the unconscious could problematically be called a “little man in the head” to defer analysis

In processes of fictional representations of instant collective choice function that result in some entity (Psychopass, the President [DS2], “hive minds”), it’s interesting that a dictatorial “taking-over” by an individual (whether consented to by the broader collective or not) still occurs

"It cares nothing for the norms of pure reason, the bounds of sense, or the interests of life. While transcendental orthodoxy wastes time staving off the imminent liquidation of reason, sense, and life, transcendental materialism celebrates the deterritorialization of intelligence."

DS2 asks the question, how do you highlight humanity’s self-destructive tendencies without emulating traditional gothic archetypes or the modern bastardization of the zombie?

“Least bad candidate who can win” and your options are “let’s do a genocide but feel conflicted about it” and “let’s do a genocide and boast how awesome it is”. Or between “even tougher on immigration” and “what she said”, or between “idc about trans issues” and “trans people don’t exist”
Wrong. Votes are owed. You have an obligation as a citizen to vote for the least bad candidate who can win. You failed. You.

Just noticed, whether it’s comfortability in expressing bias, or a growing difficulty in measuring social utility function, but these polls (on any election scale) keep getting worse and worse
Possibly the greatest comeback in modern US election history. Mamdani’s odds were 6% just one month ago

The "number of people normally cited as killed" (~50k atm) is the number which Gazan health officials have confirmed killed by violence. To be part of this number, an identifiable body or a witness must be brought to a hospital and issued a death certificate. Every hospital in Gaza has been bombed.
A Harvard study of IDF data finds that there are 377,000 people unaccounted for in Gaza.

That estimate is six times the number of people normally cited as killed.

Genocide.

Some well-meaning friends of mine got heated when I sarcastically said I was looking forward to when Democrats elect Copy-Paste McDo-Nothing as their next runner in the presidential election, aka sorta iffy on weed but vehemently hates homeless people, after taking into consideration recent pushback
this sort of loathsome coward is crying for a world in which people hope & try & expect less. "you wouldn't have to march!" when the most recent democrat president helped to carry out a genocide. you're meant to be okay with that, comfortably not marching about that

Ah yes, become easy targets for arrest and violence if mass arrest and violence breaks out. You don’t need “provocateurs” for protests to turn, as they typically do when police get pissy.

Liberal excesses have traction because they are believable. "Teenager who provided services to Neonazi cyberterrorist CSAM collective has been granted colossal power over government programs by Elon Musk" is both true and so far out of left field as to be impossible to get normies to believe.
it remains insane that one of the DOGE guys tried to get recruited by a neonazi cyberterrorist CSAM collective and it never really got much public traction
