This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

At many (most?) universities, international students pay full freight (often allowing the school to offer financial aid and scholarships to U.S. students). Terrorizing them will no doubt decrease int’l enrollment, hitting higher ed’s bottom line. Which is the point.

The fact that these committee members are so uncomfortable with sexuality is sad for them. It's also sad for all the students their district serves, because sexuality is a fact of life, and teens deserve to be educated by adults who are comfortable with the facts of life.
