The Bills did everything to lose that game, and the loss is on them. But it gets really goddamn tiresome watching officials insert themselves into big games. They are obviously told to do it.

“As it should have been.”

Everyone whose job it is to call it a catch or not determines it wasn’t. But we all know better! Or, maybe, just maybe, it’s motivated reasoning to want that called a catch. Who knows?
well yeah they didn’t score in OT because they got absolutely hosed by a call. if that was ruled a catch, as it could have been, game is over

ICE shot and killed a woman on camera today. We all saw the video.

The Trump administration is lying.

If the biggest donor to the DCCC/DNC ran a website where you could use AI to take women's clothes off I feel like there'd be a demand for Dems to give the money back.

Also, they specifically say, in that quote provided, why they do not use metal. That is the opposite of arbitrary! They believe that using metal leads to bad things--like destroying the natural world to mine it.
This is an absolutely deranged way to describe a film that features a parliament of space whales deciding to abandon their ancient, culturally-essential tradition of pacifism to address the problem, as well as a couple having a very real binding-of-Isaac moment.

The world *must* cater to me and my needs.
Because I might have to drive through there to get to a specific location? Because I might have to drive through there because it's the most efficient route? Because that happens to be where multiple tourist amenities are?

I agree. It is a sign of her failure to only impeach Trump twice.
Again, Pelosi personally did half of all presidential impeachments in American history
Pelosi herself has been more responsibility for the growth of elite impunity culture than any other top Dem. She seems to regard the imposition of consequences on politicians as intolerably risky for the people doing the imposing, and consistently acted in ways to prevent it from happening.

“Democrats did not fight to make Republicans follow the law!”

Do you hear yourself?
The point is that Dems made the shutdown about health care (which led nowhere) and not about actually ensuring appropriations are spent when signed into law. There were lots of mechanisms to make sure of that. They're using them in random cases. But funding is still being withheld.

The problem is that it is true that the New York Times treats the potential plagiarism by the president of Harvard as worth more news coverage than the President being a pedophile.
I don't understand why people have to concoct wild conspiracy theories in order to critique the NYT. I say this as someone who writes for them: there is plenty to critique without making up wild scenarios and insisting they're true!

Rarely do you see a pro “The Press should merely be stenographers of party mouth pieces” post.

Reporters can read bills just as easily as public relations offices.
Missing from every conversation like this about this IRA is that absolutely nobody knew what was in it because the President was incapable of selling policy to the public. It's really not the job of the press to do this.
This right here, this exact sentence, is THE problem in American political journalism.

The IRA *was* cheap energy and good jobs! That was the whole bill! Democrats did precisely what political pundits are telling them to do and the pundits just ignore it.

I do not think we should be thinking this hard about a Nazi tattoo on a candidate for the US Senate. Very few people get to be senators; it is not too much to expect that they avoid Nazi tattoos

"Sure, he may be a Nazi but at least his is my kind of Nazi!"

Why are you going to the matt for this guy? Lines must be drawn and "has Nazi symbology tattooed on his body" is a pretty easy and clear one.
How exactly? Is your internet post history free of shitposts from your younger/dumber self? I’d think having former a marine who got disillusioned with foreign wars would be a good thing for Congress, but here we are 🙄

We can expect your in-depth reporting on the GOP replacement for the ACA when? Surely if there is something better in the wings the defense of Obamacare really is misplaced. Otherwise, seems to me, we'd be left with nothing if the GOP succeeds in their 15 year long attempt to repeal it.
bluesky is an even weirder place than twitter. does my post say we should repeal Obamacare

no

does it say that the institutionalist instinct to devote so much emotion to defense of it rather than sympathizing with what it didnt/still has not fixed (for many) is misplaced?

yes. and i stand by that
this dickhead didn’t post this to bsky, but fuck you @talsmith.bsky.social . this legislation saved my life. condescending piece of shit.

i wouldn’t be in any more agreement with it, but i would respect the argument more if these people would lay out, preferably in a table or a side by side comparison, what views or politics or beliefs a liberal should be prepared to compromise on and which a conservative should compromise on
Apparently he's really saying "liberals need to befriend conservatives for the greater good" which is so pundit brained I can't even
