This is really interesting because in Sierra Leonean Krio, we use the word “palaba” or “palava” to capture when someone is making a ruckus or trouble for others!!! I wonder if they’re related? 🧐

It generally means “chaos”, “confusion”, or “drama”. A clusterfuck.

“Whirligig” because sometimes…things really just spun me round and round, allowing me to revisit and recreate myself. Introducing old realizations in new packaging. Seemingly endless.
Push” because I put so much of my all into just about everything I did. Eager, earnest, sheer force of will. It was beautiful, glorious at times. But also was the creator of my ultimate crash and burn.
If I could title my twenties, it’d either be “Push” or “Whirligig”
