Is Billy Schuh one of the greatest what-if stories of indie rock? What if the Foundry Field Recordings could have sustained a second LP?

In the case of my demise I explicitly grant permission for people to use my voice and likeness in any and all capacities, but only to torture my enemies.
i wonder if we'll start seeing "do not recreate my voice or likeness in any capacity with AI" riders in peoples' wills

Through Public Square I have now learned that there's a local Curling Club that advertises on the anti-woke marketplace that also has a DEI policy on its website?
NEW: PublicSquare, a website that lets you search for businesses in your community that explicitly want you to know they endorse Trump/MAGA values, is backfiring as people use it to boycott those businesses. www.huffpost.com/entry/public...
Website For MAGA-Friendly Businesses Backfires As People Use It For Boycotts
Social media posts about PublicSquare have gone viral as Trump critics use it to find companies not to support – the opposite of what the site was set up for.

Can't stop thinking about the McSweeney's Sad Dad Bands, (first published January 14, 2022.)

Back on Twitter, I started a thread of my own riffs on Sad Dad Bands on January 17, 2022. Here is that thread, recreated.

Trump: "You know, our country was the strongest, believe it or not, from 1870 to 1913. You know why? It was all tariff based. We had no income tax." (This is nonsense.)

I've been on a British Quiz Show kick lately and it dawned on me that you could do a US quiz show centered almost entirely around the NYT Games, but they'd probably need some exclusive new games for. And since this is the NYT one of them will invariably be incredibly transphobic, like misgendering.

I think the real order is:

1. Is this a grievance (racism/misogyny/etc.)?

2. Is this a grift or scam?

3.) Oh, no they're just dumb.
Pretty simple rule of thumb when wondering why the Trump administration does anything is to ask two questions:

1) is it racist?

Or

2) are they stupid?

Tends to cover most Trump administration stuff.

Thinking like a lawyer should be in the DSM-IV
Anyone discounting a 3d Trump term per the 22d am + the 12th am is thinking magically: The 22d dsn’t bar *serving* a 3d term, only being *elected* 3 times. The 12th dsn’t bar running for VP unless “ineligible” to serve as Pres, but Trump isn’t ineligible. QED!

I know everyone is up in arms about how stupid they look, or the price but can we talk about how these are sized? The model is wearing a size 34... 34 what?? It can't be the waist because there is none. How the hell does the sizing work?? I smell toast.
I have seen the most cursèd jeans imaginable and now you have seen them too.

Please guess to yourself what their price is and then click the link in replies to see how close you were.
