This reflective acrylic sheet shows how 1980s illustrators were able to trace real-life objects on the computer. Once it was aligned, it reflected whatever was in front of it over the monitor's display, allowing artists to trace it in a tool like MacPaint or MS Paint. Simple, low tech and effective.

The Danny Brown concert last night was incredible. Femtanyl, and underscores were so damn good. However I'm afraid Danny's hits might be ruined for me, as I now have the live versions to compare them to.

RealSound was computer voodoo if you understand the context. PC games of the time made music from deafening beeps that were intended more as system alerts. Access figured out how to play waveforms through that speaker, resulting in music clips and speech before sound cards existed.
