Me to me: stop picking up free ebooks
Me to me: but they are free?

Me to me: catch up on the new books you already bought
Me to me: but ebooks are on sale now and can buy 3 for $15, including a new one the library hasn’t gotten yet

"Why is the HEA even a discussion" is a very very good question.
I see it several times a year. Why is this still an argument?? The genre literally has two rules, and HEA is one. Find another genre that doesn’t include that rule if you don’t like it. Romantic elements can exist in pretty much any other genre without breaking their rules.

Today's feed-yourself thread:

Keeping it simple! If you have 1 egg and 2 pieces of bread, here are all my ideas of what to do with those. (More than you might imagine!)

Option 1: French Toast

If you have milk, add a dash and whip the egg. Otherwise, water works. Likewise, cinnamon / sugar.

Hubs ordered some shirts from Uniqlo and when the tracking info arrived, it said 106 items instead of 6. Curious panicking has been occurring over the past 24 hours, then the package arrived today with 6 items.

All is well

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

They should not have fucked over all of our federal employees and hurt so many people for literally nothing.
Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.
