In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

The people of LA have had a hard year and it's nice that they have something to celebrate. But using that fact to guilt people into respecting the Dodgers, especially given how enthusiastically they're going to shake hands with the man terrorizing their city, is incredibly corny and embarrassing.

Not to pick on this particular person but this was absolutely not a choke job and hadn't been the entire series. The Jays aren't the Leafs. The Dodgers were expected to walk away with the series, we made them work for every single hit. This is simply the outcome of a very close game and series
One of the greatest choke jobs in sports history. A Toronto tradition

It so easily could've gone the other way
Honestly, for Toronto and Jays fans that is an unforgettable, indelible, brutal way to lose. That is pure heartbreak, pure what-if, forever. And that’s part of what made that one of the best baseball games anyone will ever see.

No joke, the prior record for longest the longest World Series (in the modern era) was 69 (achieved in both 1924 and 1991).

The longest World Series of all time is 75 innings in 1912, when they played eight games and one ended in a tie.
74 innings of baseball. The average world series game's length was 10.57 innings

I would like a Blue Jays parade anyway? I love this team and they had so much heart

Norm there's still time to undo this wish
Rooting not just for a Game 7 of the World Series, but another 18 inning game that goes so long on Saturday night that the clocks fall back at 2am before it’s ended and everyone gets tremendously confused about what time it is.

I quote myself as we are tied in the bottom of the ninth
This is simply going to be the most insane baseball game of our lives, saying something considering we had an 18 inning game this week #bluejays
