Doug Ford is just like Boris Johnson in that every couple of weeks he'll slip and fall and everyone's like "he's just a silly clown man" to cover up what a blatant racist he actually is

I keep seeing people saying "everyone who voted for the Iraq war was disgraced" no they weren't! It worked out great for all of them! Bush got re-elected! The 2016 Democratic Presidential nominee voted for it!!!
if you are old enough to remember, at all, what was going on during the run-up to iraq, and fall for it again now, you are either vile beyond repair or such an enormous mark that you should be locked in a mcdonald's playplace for your own personal safety

What a beautiful day to cancel your NYT subscription with extreme prejudice.
9. The Times has chosen to elevate anti-LGBTQ+ voices and platform hate groups while framing families seeking basic medical rights as extremists who have “pushed too far.” In doing so, the paper has abdicated its responsibility. Its failures will be a black stain on its legacy for a generation.

Important context to the Supreme Court ruling is that Tennessee only has one gender clinic for kids and it performs 5 top surgeries per year.

This entire "debate" is about a phenomenon — large numbers of kids being rushed into hormones and surgeries — that doesn't exist.

since younger people are asking how shockingly stupid things were in 2003, may I present to you this circa-03 sign that I bought from a local restaurant and their (unrelated) going out of business sale a few years later

This all feels very 2003 but somehow more dumb this time around.

“Right wing posters influence things and that’s the problem”

Ok but why are they algorithmically elevated and not suppressed? Why are people primed to receive their message and not reject it? Why are politicians not meaningfully pushing back against their desires but instead adopting them?

Ever since the Tiktok "shutdown" in the US even posts that 100% fit the description of "hate speech" that I report get a "no violations found". Mind you, I'm not even in the US. The review process was never perfect but it used to at least catch some things... Wth did they agree to? #tiktok#USpuppets
