There is no reason for this to happen. And, it would be tragic.

Why are the U.S. and the U.K. trying to destroy higher education, healthcare systems, economies, and major journalistic institutions at the same time?

Have the governing classes in both countries been affected by the same disease?

An analysis of the [Irish] Dept of Justice data shows the highest failure rates for visas [for travel to Ireland] tended to be African countries.

Of the ten lowest rates of approval, all were African states, including Guinea, Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Algeria, Djibouti, and Malawi.
Nearly 63,000 people were refused visas for travel to Ireland over the past two years, with citizens of some countries facing rejection rates of over 90 percent.

So here's the rub: Dozens of Stonepeak's investors are public-employee retirement funds, including many in blue states. And the human rights abuses happening on Omni's ICE flights would probably violate a lot of their ESG policies -- IF THEY KNEW ABOUT THEM.

Dozens of migrants on Omni ICE flights may have been shackled for more than 73 hours in October and more than 80 hours in December, leaving some elderly deportees too weak to walk. Flight data backs this up.

I spoke with a forensic pathologist on the risks of shackling for long periods -- excruciating pain, bruising, cuts, permanent nerve damage, and a "very high risk" of developing blood clots that could become deadly. She described these flights as torture.

The flights are also getting longer. My analysis of public flight data shows that since Stonepeak's purchase of Omni, nearly half of its ICE trips lasted longer than 24 hours.

All adult migrants and some children are shackled are ICE flights.

These Omni ICE trips include the removal of dozens migrants to Ghana, a country they have never been to, and the transfer deportation of legal asylum seekers back to Russia and Iran, via Omni flights to Egypt, Qatar and Kuwait.

For years, Omni Air International has been ICE's only large-jet charter for Africa and Asia deportations -- usually a handful of trips a year.

Last April, Omni's parent company was purchase by Stonepeak, and since then, ICE trips have skyrocketed.

ICE requires deportees be shackled for their full flight, as long as 24–50 hours; even 80 hours. Conditions are torturous and dangerous.

Omni is the only large-jet airline flying shackled passengers to Africa and Asia. Omni planes, without its name or logo, have flown thousands of ICE deportees.
NEW: Meet the private-equity firm -- and its billionaire immigrant CEO -- making millions off some of ICE's cruelest deportation flights.

Dilley, TX has a population of 3274.

Since the Dilley ICE Detention facility reopened in March 2025, around 3500 people have been detained inside in conditions that mirror punitive detention versus holding/processing.

Over half of the 3500 have been children.
