Good God, someone's just uploaded to YouTube a nearly 2-hour long video of one of the original Vic Reeves Big Night Out live shows at the Albany Empire from 1989. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKPU...

That's two extremely hot evenings in a row where I have been plied with alcohol, stuffed with meat, and then collapsed in a big satisfied heap.

There’s a lovely article here about them. Just if you’re interested. I bet goats have fallen on cars. Probably out of sheer belligerence.

Haribo stands for “Hans Riegel Bonn” after the founder & city where the company began in 1922

First called Tanzbären, dancing bears, popular in Europe at the time🐻😢

Trochulus hispidus the Hairy #Snail seen in Dudley, UK.

I haven’t seen them often so I was excited to see this little they/them moving across a limestone quarry.

So today I check tracking online. Evri "delivered" them to my side garden (just chucked randomly).

Trapped in a retro gaming bar by the crew of an action movie filming complicated fight scenes, there was nothing to do but drink cocktails and play Toejam and Earl on the Megadrive.

seeking a partner by toning down your eccentricities to become more palatable is a coward's approach. you must make yourself worse & stranger to drive away the weak, the romantic version of bequeathing your haunted mansion to whoever dares spend a night within its walls.

I've said it before: everything giant pandas do makes more sense if you imagine they are six drinks in on a Friday night.

But I feel like we haven't fully celebrated their triumphant return. See, the giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is no longer Endangered.

A conservation success story!

Alt: a panda bear is sitting on a wooden platform with toys, it barrels through them, falls, and manages to roll down every part of the stairs, as if on purpose. Just agent of chaos behavior.

Have you ever seen a turtle frog? Named for its uniquely shaped body—which resembles a turtle’s without a shell—this amphibian uses its muscular forelimbs to tunnel through the sand headfirst, digging up to 3.9 ft (1.2 m) underground.

Because I like to live dangerously, I've spent this afternoon building furniture and plastering the bathroom instead of putting the final touches to a submission for a new book. Just sent it off with an hour and a half to deadline. Boom.
