I’m sorry but she paid Virginia £12m, she knew everything and if she didn’t, her people really weren’t doing their jobs properly. Less of the vulnerable old lady shiz.
"I'm glad the late queen wasn't alive to see this."

@mrjamesob.bsky.social expresses his sympathies for the late queen, following the arrest of her son, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Sometimes,
it's a valid
show of love
to leave

to evade
the gauntlet
of despair
that precedes
the end,
cause limited
damage

to be single,
better than
to be in the
weeds of misery,
when hope's
foliage blooms
soon enough

only better
to have known
way back when,
before life forced
the lesson.

Good news everyone! As we enter the year of the Fire Horse, it is important not to clean away your good fortune. So this is a NO CLEANING DAY.
No, not even washing your hair.
This according to my Chinese neighbour.
Happily taking this to heart.

And famously there are no dodgy types in Benidorm who would accept a few quid to do someone in….
Yaxley Lennon is an unemployed beggar with an expensive drug habit. He doesn't hold out his hat on the street, he cons idiots into online donation by playing the victim.

The story arc
of love can be
a predictable thing—

a passionate
kiss begins
the elaborate rise
of two lovers

until time and
experience leave
a bitter taste

once over it,
time to find
a successor

but let's
you & I write
a different story,
one that's truly

Another current events poem for #PoemsAbout #Undressed written after I listened to Rep. Pramila Jayapal discuss Bondi's disgusting performance at the oversight hearing. Thank you as always to @alanparrywriter.co.uk @thebrokenspine.co.uk

CW: drug mention

Ecstasy
undressed me
flashbang brain,
lights tasted
of licorice,
drug to mask
the pain, keep
dancing, never stop
you won't feel
a thing.

#PoemsAbout #Undressed is live.

Write the quiet moment after the clothes are gone.
When the body waits.
When the room listens.
When consent is still a question.

Post from today.

It's Friday, and #PoemsAbout. Welcome all who write, read, like, comment, share.
I went down a dark path this week for #Undressed, the outcome of watching a documentary series about propaganda; vulnerability from the wrong angle.
After a hasty Thursday rewrite something more mellow emerged.

Just ordered a book from my local Waterstones. Click and collect so I’ll get it on way home tonight. As cheap as Amazon. Also bought an instant camera earlier this week from Argos, cheaper than on Amazon. It’s proving very easy not to use the evil billionaire’s website. More of you should try it.

I am one of the most published academics on the childhood social transition, with 5 peer reviewed articles that relate to the topic.

There is so much evidence of benefit of social transition.

There is no evidence of harm. Not one jot.

This will literally kill trans kids. No exaggeration.
