Just 15 years before I was born. She graduated high school just 4 years before I was born. This is very recent history, but when I learned about it, it seemed ancient, as did the Vietnam War and Watergate. All so recent. Lest we forget.
Reminder: Ruby Bridges is only 71 years old today. She still remembers how one woman she passed on her way into school would threaten to poison her every morning, and how the US Marshalls would only allow her to eat lunch brought from home, just in case.

This history isn't ancient. It's recent.
November 14, 1960: Ruby Nell Bridges Hall an American civil rights activist, became the first Black child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana during the New Orleans school desegregation crisis.

Grading an online discussion of obviously AI-generated posts followed by AI generated responses to those posts is disheartening.

The topic is ethical use of AI. I'm spent.

Sandwich Guy is the hero we need.
Such a ridiculous case to begin with: “Jurors showed no appetite for the [DOJs] case against ‘sandwich guy,’ the D.C. resident who chucked a Subway sandwich at the chest of a federal officer, finding him not guilty Thursday after several hours of deliberations.” 🥪✊

Sean Dunn faced a single misdemeanor after federal grand jurors refused to indict him on the felony charge sought by prosecutors.

This is a remarkable explanation of tithing
Time to post this again it looks like⚓
As many churches kick off “stewardship season”, a quick reminder that the biblical concept of the tithe is a tenth of the produce of the land, falling squarely on property owners with no burden on waged workers. It is a progressive tax on the proceeds of ownership, not a regressive flat income tax.⚓️

It’s a good read, but it is somewhat over plotted, and some of the twists towards the end strain credulity. Put it through your typewriter, and submit it again.
