I'm surprised it's not a winning strategy to say that my enemies are spot-on correct about all the problems, but maybe they go a little to far and are too blunt about it, so you should vote for me, who will do the exact same policies but in a way that is half-hearted and equivocal.

it is almost as if accommodating and conceding to far right ideas legitimizes them and signals to voters that the far right is a legitimate choice for governance
The Danish Social Democrats are currently on course for their worst election result since at least the Second World War, despite their brand of far-right accommodationism being touted as a blueprint for other centre-left parties.

Today was Day Two of Customs and Border Patrol’s Charlotte Operation. Members of our Safe to Work community patrols hit the streets early this morning and observed federal agents preparing to spend their day questioning grocery shoppers.

Journalists and North Carolinians - these are the folks to follow and join to protect our Charlotte neighbors from CBP.
Today marked Day One of Customs and Border Patrol’s Charlotte Operation. And as we’ve come to expect from these operations, federal agents targeted workers throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas.

I'm thinking today of all my fellow veterans but especially the more than 5,000 trans service members and their families who were kicked out of the military this year despite being highly qualified and serving honorably. This injustice will be a stain on our nation's history.

Movements run on momentum. Little wins turn into an ethos and shared purpose, then bigger wins and suddenly empires fall or lives improve. If this week showed how quickly a few wins can puncture Trump's "invincibility," this is a reminder of how fast "compromise" can plunge us back into despair.

The ADL has decided to treat fascists as allies and progressives as enemies. For a group that is tasked with protecting American Jews, that is a world historic fuck up.

I will never forgive these people for their moral decrepitude.

This is the kind of solidarity we need.

Anti-trans politics lost tonight. Islamophobia lost tonight. Racism lost tonight. Billionaires lost tonight. Smokescreen antisemitism lost tonight. The politics of fear lost tonight. That's a win for everyone.

The last month of the anti-Mamdani campaign was an absolutely shameful undertaking, an attempt to rip the city and Democratic coalition apart and I'm very happy to see it failed.

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

The way forward is together, not over the bodies of our own.

Today is an absolute rebuke of anti-transgender politics, and a real sign that the anti-trans panic is fading.

From VA Gov to Loudoun County to New Jersey to New York City and Pennsylvania, anti-trans Republicans are falling left and right.
Democrats are currently ahead in 63 (!!!) races in the Virginia House of Delegates.

If this holds, it would be one of the largest state legislature swings in the last 4 years.

Its an absolute bloodbath for anti-trans Republicans.

Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

Schumer had a chance to repudiate the gutter racism and Islamophobia of Cuomo's campaign and he just fucking didn't. And that is disqualifying. He should be ashamed and we the voters should make sure he feels that shame.
Reporter: Today is election day in New York City. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: Look, I voted. And I look forward to working with the next mayor to help New York City.
