@aaron.bsky.team liked a post from a pornbot on his work account and then banned the ATProto dev who caught him. This comes after BlueSky failed to take any action against a notorious bigot.

This is chilling for anyone building BlueSky tools.

Wait, so let me get this straight.

Transphobes screenshotting posts through a block to direct harassment is okay and incurs no consequences because the network is public.

But using the standard functionality to fetch an employee like list results not in the bot being banned, but its operator too?

The Bluesky head of trust and safety (@aaron.bsky.team) was caught liking porn on his work account via a bot that mirrored every action he took on the network.

In response, he banned the bot and its creator. This is after repeatedly saying that the network is public with no expectation of privacy.

VPN vendors have huge budgets to advertise on your favorite podcasts.

We don't have marketing for the IETF, browser and OS security teams, CAs (Let's Encrypt), CDNs, researchers, open source authors, website builders, digital rights activists...

We made the web secure and didn't tell anyone.

For how much my XYZ Divinci 1.0 cost almost 10 years ago I can buy an Ender 3 V3 KE. If this printer existed back then it would be like 10k$.

I’m hoping soon there will be a way to upgrade older CNCs in the subtractive manufacturing space with something like industrial Klipper/Mainsail.

Reskeet this if you refuse to pay for BlueSky+ until trust & safety decides to prioritize marginalized users.

That's $96 / year of lost revenue for each reskeet...
