Man, I still think about that super awkward time where I was hiring someone at the ol' record store and a candidate who gave me some weird vibes during the interview, after declining her application, she came in and confronted me with "Why not me? First impressions: Going on an illegal war expedition in Mexico in the 1850s sounds like it sucks major ass.
Good book though. Could have done without the tree of dead babies though. 😬

Homelessness increased primarily because of immigration (lots of people came to the US without setting up housing).
