All right, I've finished reading Naked Lunch, and it sucks. It's pretentious and annoying to read in the least satisfying way possible.

(Laughs in Canadian)

We started an equivalency program where foreign trained doctors can come hang a shingle in Canada without tons of regulatory hoops.

So we'll take em. We'll take em all.

In 2001, working the night shift at Burger King, I was in charge of removing all the disposable aluminum ash trays we had in our "smoking section", which consisted of the three tables furthest from the food service counter, and our Manager's office, which was a 7x7 cube with opaque air.
What a weird society we were.

I don't know why journalism has turned into shaky handheld vertical Tik Tok videos, but I can tell you that regardless of the journalist or story, I will scroll right past.

Pivot to video was always a lie.

I've been working on the web for well over a decade, and I still don't know what "backend" means, but I know enough to know that I'm not doing any. 😆

I will bet one hundred dollars that the new gigantic ballsack being added to the White House will have a trick chandelier, à la Phantom of the Opera.

The guy actually loves himself some Andrew Lloyd Webber, especially Phantom.

However, his favourite is Cats, which objectively sucks.

It is hard to understand Mike with Trump's Johnson in his mouth at all to times.
Speaker Johnson says he has "national security concerns" about releasing the Epstein Files.

"Declassification should always rest and always has rested with the agency that originated the intelligence. Why? So that they can protect their critical sources and methods."

The time between me deploying a set of docs for a new feature and how soon I forget anything I just learned is actually quite incredible.

That might be the source of the emptiness I feel after shipping. That void, however, is the main source of documentation strategy and operations at this company.

The main difference between BlueSky and "Twitter Classic" is that on Twitter you'd roam around, get annoyed with conservative views, and that's it.

Bluesky you do that shit and you find the brainwormed "I find Jacobin too conservative" lectures about how the word "and" is somehow racist.

It is absolutely catastrophic that a once lauded investigative news program has been reduced to little more than a propaganda wing for a terrible administration and its affiliated corporate interests.
