A GENTLE REMINDER FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES:
“I wish you a lifetime filled with happiness, peace, good health, prosperity, and, most of all, love - the greatest gift. I will always love you, wherever you are. You are a gift and blessing. You are wonderful just the way you are.”

WIP: sequel to WENDIGOGO. Morty, my monstrous MC, is a comfortable fave, but the standout is always the capricious, murderously violent water panther Marie. Her solution to pretty much every problem is to eat someone. #FirstDraftFall
#FirstDraftFall Now that you've gotten into writing for First Draft Fall, who's your favorite character in your story?

There is no appeasing fascists. "I'm going to let you put the boot on my throat, but just a little and just this once, ok?" is not negotiation.

Fascinating rabbit hole. Looked up the 'bluest blue' to toss off a political comment. Turns out it is Mas Blue, developed at Oregon State University in 2009.

Not only is it the bluest blue, it is non-toxic - unlike most sources of blue pigment.

Give me a Mas Blue Wave is what I'm saying.

THIS IS ALSO MY SUSPICION.

If one of these is your senator then nag tf out of them every day of their 4 to 6 years so that they regret these actions for the rest of their lives.
The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

The most logical explanation I've seen so far is that the senators didn't want to miss flights and cancel Thanksgiving.

We must bring back public punishments for politicians who betray the people they're supposed to fight for. Spitting on them. Chaining them nude in stocks. The guillotine. The only thing worse than evil is this utter cowardice in the face of it.

Imagine coming off an incredible Election Day mandate from coast to coast and going 'you know what voters want? to be completely sold out by a bunch of craven cowards too pathetic to hold the line against a bunch of fucking weirdos'

This is worse than appeasement. This is trying to upsell betrayal and take credit for crumbs.

To think I used to like this guy.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.
