I appreciate that Carney has decided that he can just call Trump an idiot publicly as long and get away with it if he's even slightly clever about it lol
Q to PM Carney: Trump calls your tariff pitch complex. What's complex about it?

Carney: The complexity is often in the eye of the beholder.

Was consumed all day at work by the fact that trump tweeted "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!" at Iran, which from any normal president would be hugely consequential and it wasn't even a story because the media has just sort of deformed itself into nihilistic acceptance of the fact that he's insane
Worse, the entire media basically knows this. They incredibly low standards they display for him are obvious. And yet they rarely highlight this as the disqualifying truth it is.

There's something so weirdly amusing about libertarians serving no fucking useful social function in a time of dominant right-wing fascism other than arguing with teenagers in Che Guevara tee-shirts about the dangers of communism. Thanks, guys. We'll call when we need you.
Communism—rooted in socialism—has claimed more than 100 million lives.

Yet 62% of Americans aged 18–29 view socialism favorably, and 34% say the same of communism.

Cato’s latest survey is a wake-up call: liberty’s case must be made, now more than ever.
Young Americans Like Socialism Too Much—That’s a Problem Libertarians Must Fix
The answer is education. And not the kind dispensed by most high schools, universities, Hollywood scripts, or Netflix documentaries. It must come from those who understand the foundations of liberty.

@jaketapper.bsky.social why don’t you do some real reporting you sorry excuse for a journalist.
Two terrorist attacks inside the U.S. on Donald Trump's watch so far, according to his own FBI. Maybe someone in the press should ask him why. Ask Kristi Noem, Kash Patel, Pam Bondi.

Wow, if Trump suffered "mental anguish" from a 60 Minutes interview, he's definitely too weak, and as Putin put it, too "emotional," to lead.

Yesterday, I saw Musk's biographer Walter Isaacson wheeled out for a TV interview under the chyron "Musk: Back to Business" and it really feels like the media is entirely happy to go along with a concerted PR effort to increase Musk's finances by downplaying what he did to your government.
Elon Musk, who once called himself President Trump’s "first buddy," said he is ending his government work to spend more time on his companies.

I remember the first time my dad asked me to punch him in the face. Me and my 27 brothers (no sisters) and their 26 moms were there with me and dad. All 55 of us were just wrasslin. "Let me have it," dad said. He had been awake since 1991, because of the drugs and blackmail. Weeks later he died.
