This sounds terrifying, and I'm sure I'll lose sleep over it, so what I'm going to ask is not the biggest fish to fry so to speak, but.... why does he keep signing these things "Thank you for your attention to this matter". There is something deeply weird about that to me.

Taken at face value, we have here a palm beach hotelier noticing that a local hedge fund manager—a guy who doesn’t run a publicly acknowledged competing hospitality business—keeps hiring the teenage girls out of his spa.

Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
