My grandfather was born in 1924, and the man hated loud noises, had to do things in a specific way every day or else he would have a meltdown, and had an intense special interest in trains. Paracetamol became commonly used in the 1950s.

Gather round kids and listen to the sad tale of LJ
More of the detail:

There was (still is, but was, too) a social media site named LiveJournal.

LJ — like many other social media companies — had employees who were involved in the moderation of content on the service.

Then they got sued, which had some cascading effect on all other social media:
The story is that Facebook is and has been a plausibly deniable propaganda delivery vector for a decade.

No one takes responsibility when the lies are authored & paid for by a Swiss bank account, Bitcoin address, or army of bots that earned their bones commenting “Touchdown [$hometeam_name]!”

I feel like true enlightenment as a Girl's Girl is looking at the sorority rush stuff as not being cringe, but instead thinking about how cool it would be to live in a woman-centred house for your undergrad. Yeah the girls.

SUBWAY GUY DID NOTHING WRONG
AG Bondi says a DOJ employee has been fired after he was arrested for allegedly throwing a wrapped Subway sandwich at a federal law enforcement officer in Washington, D.C.

Following his arrest, the man allegedly told one of the arresting officers: “I did it. I threw a sandwich.” wapo.st/3Uq59TN

I survived the 7/7 London bombings, but as a British Muslim I still grew up being called a terrorist
Four years on from the attacks on 9/11 - this was a time when, in the minds of many, Muslims were already associated with terrorism.

interesting to see how much more coverage here we're getting of a chant at a music festival than the IDF being ordered to shoot and murder people in Gaza who are seeking aid!
IDF soldiers have now themselves admitted they have been ordered to murder aid-seekers in Gaza.

Truly an atrocity built on atrocity.
