If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Saturday saw us buyout 8, Sunday was 10 and we swarmed a local bakery. Over $4,000 from the community, to vendors, food to the community. Thursday is our next home buyout, Saturday our last tour, bonfire that night to celebrate, Sunday Burrito Brigade. #BikeChi persists. 🫶🏽✊🏽🙏🏽

News Headline, circa '26-27:
"Class Action Lawsuit against OpenAI and Intuit, alleges tax refunds stolen by AI, IRS asking residents re-file after 'miscalculations' resulted in widespread 'accidental tax fraud', arrests and fines among users"
TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

So, do we start writing the class action lawsuit against AI companies for the malpractice liability for every future doctor and lawyer now, or...?

One of the rules I've enforced for myself for the past decade or so is that it's okay to snap a picture or two at an event, a short 30 second vid MAX, & it doesn't come back out.

I'm there to *experience* something - not filtering a night through a shitty phone screen.

'No-phone Warehouse project rave went well until rules were broken'
People at Warehouse-project's phone-free event in Manchester couldn't keep off their mobiles, one raver says.

tattooed techbro's thoughts after finding an abstract piece that captures his attention, even though he only went to a gallery because he thought it would make his tinder profile look cultured
I had never given ART full access to my brain. I had let it alter my body, but not this.

I can personally confirm this - i accidentally became a bike owner 2.5 years ago, and within WEEKS i found myself at a city council meeting with others in a community that cared.

I am in Kirkland. It is Sunday. The library is closed and I cannot find a single open place within walking distance that sells books or would allow me to buy or loan a physical book.

Agony.

ONE way, THRICE the size/capacity of a cyclist! Portland's cycling population is spoiled for infrastructure and I hope they appreciate it.

Could host a full bike disco in that stretch, and I hope they do!
Imagine building one-way bike lanes (in downtown!) that are this wide.

Did not know that food banks don't pay sales tax, so their dollar can stretch more!! Cash donate to your local food bank!!
SNAP benefits are under attack during this government shutdown and food banks are picking up the slack.

But they need your help. Here are the best ways to do that:

Went on a date with someone last week, installed a bidet for them and treated them to a tea and danish at a local bakery. Had a good time, but they've been slow rolling the process of ghosting me this week.
