It’s actually far, far worse on Bluesky. The nastiness and vitriol here makes X look civilized and high-minded by comparison 🙃. The close-minded scolds on here shouldn’t flatter themselves

Trump's Presidencies have so far involved numerous Saturday Night Massacres, dozens of Watergates, and a never ending parade of Tea Pot Dome scandals. I worry that we're about to enter the "dozens of Kent State's" portion of the story.

As the Trump wars set in, US universities are discovering a fatal flaw in their structure—having a board of trustees filled with hedge fund managers and no sense of or concern about what a university is or does. Columbia is the worst case so far. Chicago is also awful.
The University of Chicago has a debt of over $6 billion, against an endowment of $10 billion. They played with crypto. That's more than irresponsible.
Their board of trustees contains a surprising number of people regarded as financial geniuses.
