The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

I’ve realized that watching Kathryn Bigelow movies is like reading RF Kuang books. They think they’re really saying something…. But they’re just not that deep. I keep trying to like them both and they are just not for me.

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

I’m taking no news as good news on the Broadway musicians possible strike. I 100% support union workers getting a better deal… I just need to know if my yearly Broadway weekend is up in smoke. Fingers crossed that they worked out a deal.

I’ve never been on the SATC bandwagon but that #andjustlikethat promo may be the most tone-deaf thing I’ve ever seen. “A woman’s right to shoes”? In the year of our lord 2025? Ugh.

@fetterman.senate.gov where are you? Senator Booker could use your support. Please do something to help him hold the floor and disrupt the corrupt Senate agenda. We want you to fight for us! — a frustrated constituent

The women on this season of #loveisblind are all “I care about BLM and LGBTQ+ rights and abortion access” and the men are all “I don’t really think about politics” and if that isn’t just the encapsulation of our time.

“I’m not voting for this, it’s gonna destroy the middle class / worker’s rights / LGBTQ protections / our economic stability” is a thing you should just keep on saying.

You don’t have to help them drive marginalized people off the cliff.

A mom just came in SO EXCITED to find a map store bc her son would LOVE it.
She tries to be coy. "My son is... Really into maps. Real special kid."

I'm like, ma'am, this is a map store. Half my customers are on the spectrum. I have a trains and transit section. You're among friends.

Alyssa Mastromonaco nailed it on today’s Hysteria: “Things keep happening and you're like, well, when's the other fucking shoe gonna drop? And then you're like, oh, I'm living in Carrie Bradshaw's closet.
It's nothing but fucking shoes and they're all gonna drop.”
