Just keep going. The show is so good and you will hate Hal so much more. Perhaps the character I most “love to hate” of all time. Because he’s so seemingly charming and manipulative and occasionally good rather than just being 100% trash.

Nope. I don’t need it to be light at 4:30am in the summer. Permanent DST all the way!

So he’s worried people aren’t being polite enough? Am I reading that right? Sure, dude, manners are the real problem here.

The Toasted Ravioli one may be the most St Louis thing I’ve ever seen.

It’s giving weird suffering-white-Jesus vibes. Not a fan of this image.

I’m finishing up my second read of the Anna Hibiscus books by Atinuke and I really don’t want to shut up about them. They’re such beautiful stories and have teachable moments without feeling trite or forced. They’re like a slightly aged up version of a Bluey episode, but make it African.

I was 13 the first time I saw a local production of Cabaret and I vividly remember thinking, “oh this worker is sweeping and singing this nice song [swastika flag unrolls] oh shit, what is happening here?” It was so insidious and it has stayed with me for literal decades.

Good on the reporter for continuing to follow up and emphasize the impact of this decision.

The midwesterner in me would also like to know if you got it on sale, because that is just exponential levels of winning.

I listened to her memoir earlier this year and it was such a light in the darkness. Just knowing she’s in those rooms and conversations gives me hope. Maybe it shouldn’t; she’s only one woman and I can’t expect her to shoulder everything we’re putting on her. But I’m grateful for her.

I am your constituent, and you are failing us. Meet the moment and put up a fight!! Your job is not to go along with outdated norms, it is to fight and obstruct their immoral agenda. Or we will find someone who will.
