NEW: DHS secretly obtained Chicago police data on 900 residents accused of gang ties. It was quietly deleted after intelligence officers violated rules against domestic spying.

The handoff came well after city inspectors formally announced CPD's gang data was deeply flawed and infected w/ bias.
DHS Kept Chicago Police Records for Months in Violation of Domestic Espionage Rules
The Department of Homeland Security collected data on Chicago residents accused of gang ties to test if police files could feed an FBI watchlist. Months passed before anyone noticed it wasn’t deleted.

Dershowitz is in a real bind here, because on the one hand, “Epstein was good, actually” isn’t a winning position.

On the other hand, if Dershowitz doesn’t go on TV at least once a week, he will literally die, so 🤷‍♂️
Dershowitz: The predecessor on your show described Epstein as a convicted pedophile. He pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. That’s not a pedophile.

Access journalism is already a cancer. This is something worse than cancer.
Michael Wolff tried to buy New York Mag — with money from Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein.

So Wolff didn't just have a reporter-source relationship with Epstein. Nor was Wolff his informal PR adviser. They saw each other as potential business partners.

i watched the new fallout trailer and then this video came on about “mysteries” of the fallout universe. it was good, but the theme i noticed is that nearly every one is due to either a bug bethesda never patched or a plot line some dev forgot to finish. fascinating way for a fandom to cope.

This may be a dumb, obvious question, but should Congress prevail in demanding the release of Epstein investigation materials, who would facilitate that and how do we know they could be trusted to not selectively edit?
An interesting tidbit in the joint status report filed in the Broadview ICE facility case today:

ICE says video from inside the facility "between October 19, 2025, and October 31, 2025, has been irretrievably destroyed" and can't be produced in discovery.
