I think this is mostly just antiintellectualism. Many of those classes were passion projects by the professors to have an actually interesting curriculum
Anyone keyed into the system realized early on the AP/honors classes didn't actually teach you anything better they just were more homework, and it was better to be a smart slacker in the normie classes then do 8 hours of homework a night in the special classes

It was an example. But what if humans are incurably genocidal? How many palestinians have been cured of hteir genocidalness? How many palestinians have taken risks for peace? What terms have been offered, short of national suicide, have the israelis been offered?

Almost no reason to not own a hybrid by the way. If you can't do an electric car, Prius's are very high quality, cheap, and get this efficiency(2017 Prius). The average is closer to 54 mpg, but that accounts for being in a cold climate(which lowers it significantly).

I have made a strong effort, whenever talking about Zionism (which I do infrequently I might add!), to refer only to non-Jewish people as Zionist.
There is sufficient cultural pressure that a Jewish person might support policies associated with the term Zionist without supporting ethnonationalism.

I don't agree in part because I think we can just oppose all ethnonationalist projects. It's weird, I think, to have an opinion *specifically* on Zionism, I'd agree there. But there's no good reason not to condemn ethnonationalism per se; 19th C. Romantic nationalism is just a failed project imo.
The problem with anti-Zionism is that it is *weird* for non-Jews to have such a strong opinion on Jewish nationalism (either way) that it is an identity. Sure, have opinions on Israel's actions. But have an identity as Zionist/Anti Zionist?
