Literally anyone I am remotely related to I refer to my “aunt,”
“uncle,” or “cousin,” (and any older Indian person I actually call “auntie” and “uncle”) and I’m pretty sure that’s quite common among South Asians

For many years, it has been my honor to work with a voluntary team of broadcasters on the Internet radio station, Mushroom FM, which plays music from the 50s to the 80s.
While not a paid vacancy, I posted the following to the Mushroom FM blog. Participating in this project is a great experience […]

"As it turned out, she was texting me about a criminal case she is pursuing against one of the president’s perceived political enemies: New York Attorney General Letitia James."

"Over the next 33 hours, Halligan texted me again.

And again.

And again.

And again."
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

I love seeing all of the pictures of the No Kings protests around the country, but please take the extra few seconds and add #AltText to them. It can be as simple as "An unbroken sea of people at the No Kings protest in (City)."

Young’s opinion, which rules that the Trump admin illegally targeted pro-Palestinian students for deportation, is absolutely scathing.

“In all our history we have never tolerated an armed masked secret police…ICE brings indelible obloquy to this administration and everyone who works in it.”

Tried to get my real ID. I had my license, my SS card and my birth certificate.

I was not allowed to get my real ID because my birth name is different than my married name. Now I have to go dig up a marriage certificate. You know who wouldn’t have to do this? A man.

Never change your last name.

Andrew Xu and Ethan Hu built one for about $200, and they’re giving the plans away for free.

Their design won top science fair honors and came with a heartfelt donation to support our work.

I went to CVS to pick up generic Zofran. 10 8mg pills, $38. Cost plus, under $11.

These docs also ask you right off the bat what pharmacy they should send the prescriptions to. @mcuban.bsky.social that’s where the change needs to happen.

Live long enough, and you’ll -
A. Get old.
B. Acquire some kind of disability l, because our bodies were not designed to last forever.

So, when you address how society should treat people with disabilities and the elderly, remember that if you’re lucky, one day that will be you.
