Why wait until the polls close to start that most beautiful pageantry of Democratic politics, the ritualistic Blaming of the Left
Y’all talked too much about the TN-7 race, turned it high salience, juiced turnout, and wrecked Dems’ chances of sneaking in a win.

Katie Wilson wins Seattle mayoral race, incumbent Bruce Harrell appears to be preparing to concede

The exciting race for Mayor of Seattle can now be called. With almost no ballots left to count, challenger Katie Wilson has an advantage that incumbent Bruce Harrell cannot overcome.

Also when we *checks notes* don’t exactly come together
Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

i really resent the continued assertion that there’s so much anger on both sides, as if the causes of the anger are equally legitimate. we’re angry because masked maniacs are violently snatching our family and neighbors off the street, and they’re angry because we’re calling them out for it.

there are like nine things about this discourse that are making me crazy but this one’s on the podium: this is what primaries are ***FOR***

do you wanna find out about the shit that could sink your candidate now, or in October

People really need to wrap their heads around HOW ATTENUATED our election cycles have gotten.

They're acting like the Maine primary was a race between Platner and Mills only and it's too late for anyone else to jump in.

The deadline to REGISTER FOR IT is in MARCH!

Go out and recruit SOMEONE ELSE

You have to be willing to walk away from these guys if they let you down, just as a matter of basic self respect. It's not a fandom. You're hiring them to do a job or not.
I liked the Platner ads too but I think there's a difference between "guy who had some bad reddit posts a decade ago" and "ex-Blackwater merc who still has a Nazi tattoo." Sucks bigtime that he's the only one taking positions and talking policy I like, but them's the breaks!

It's quite something to see this from the other side. Of course, Molly's right. Just like Jose Berrios in 2023.
Dan Wilson would not have been in this position of needing to go to Munoz in the seventh had he used his eyeballs to override the groupthink pre-game plan from hell to let only George Kirby face the lineup twice when he was fucking rolling.

It's striking that even in the defenses of Bari Weiss's broader thing no one ever says that she or her website does good work. Even the people that admire the success she's had selling lite reactionary shit to rich old guys top out at "people do seem to like it." You could defend Jake Paul that way.

We don't need leaders who are trying to hoodwink republicans into voting for them via bigoted pandering, we need leaders who will plainly make the case that our platform and our view of the world is simply better for everyone
