People with felonies should be able to vote.

People with felonies should be able to get housing.

People with felonies should be able to get loans.

This should not be controversial.

Josh Shapiro called the McDonald’s employee who reported Luigi Mangione a “hero.”

She will NOT get the $10,000 reward money because she called 911 instead of the tip line.

By the way, Josh Shapiro got $15,000 in donations from United Healthcare last year.

Numbers are fun.

Americans: 71% of us like labor unions and all of us want to be treated like human beings

Rich parasites with every conceivable privilege who are paid with *our money* ostensibly to represent *our interests*:
BREAKING: Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema have cast decisive votes against Biden's NLRB nominee. This means the Democrats will not secure control of the national labor regulator through 2026. These two Senators effectively handed Trump control of the board when his term begins.

“I don’t want to pay for other people’s healthcare!”

This is something I often see people say in opposition to single-payer healthcare.

Thing is, if you have health insurance, you’re paying for other people’s healthcare AND the insurance company is taking some for themselves.

Americans want single-payer healthcare, polls show this.

Americans need single-payer healthcare, statistics show this.

Pundits and elected officials against single-payer healthcare are mouthpieces for the ruling class.

It’s really that simple. Mask off.

Amid financial & health care crises, Dems got elected promising hope & change — and then used their mandate for bailouts of Wall St & health insurers.

Dem pundits & liberals cheered it on as they enjoyed brunch amid a growing backlash.

Now we’re living thru the mess they coulda & shoulda stopped.

You morons, you can't repeat the Gilded Age. That's not how history works--it only goes in one direction. Now let me take a big sip of coffee and make sure no nihilistic young Italians have built homemade weapons with which to assassinate robber barons.

read through the alleged shooter’s alleged manifesto and honestly, it sounds like he lived a typical American horror story—watched his mother suffer excruciating pain and be denied help, struggled with his own chronic injury—and decided to strike back at the system that had caused them such pain.

As someone who has also had a spinal fusion operation (mine was cervical) and years of horrific pain, I think the x-ray photo on his profile is far more important in understanding the shooter's motivations for attacking a health insurance CEO than any retweeting activity or Goodreads reviews.
the person of interest in the shooting of the United CEO has been ID’d as Luigi Mangione, an Ivy League grad and fan of Breloom, the mushroom Pokémon.

Not sure it matters what the shooter's political ideology is. What's more relevant/actionable is the fact that his rage was widely understood by Americans, who by the way just reelected Trump. Hard to convince voters of the stakes of preserving a system that immiserated them.
