Unfortunately Kamala Harris wasn't responsible for a similar, balancing insurgency. I'm sure if she had been, the BBC would have dedicated a programme to it. Christ this Prescott guy is a moron.

Panorama made a stupid error, but imploding the top of the BBC is mad.

Especially when it concerned a US President who actually did incite a riot and then got re-elected afterwards.

“Institutional bias” my foot. We’re being taken for mugs.

Was having lunch in Highgate this afternoon when the actual Prime Minister walked past.

He didn’t recognise me though.

Now AI is coming for Tom Baker’s teeth!

I’ve adored the Doctor Who Collection sets so far, but this sort of overzealous AI can get in a bin. Hope they’ll learn their lesson and scale it back.

Leave Tom’s teeth alone!
If you're a #DoctorWho fan who cares about sensitive video restoration that preserves the integrity of the original images, and is concerned about the introduction of unintended artefacts from the use of AI, please watch this short video, share widely and discuss.

A lovely production team, making excellent audio drama! It’s terrific to see that the appetite for AD is demonstrably there. It’s still one of the best routes for fresh talent in the arts - support audio drama today!
Two hours left and we’re only £50 away from finishing on 9k!!!

It would be a shame not to, right?

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Hey kids!

Remember when the pandemic struck and eventually the (Tory) government told everyone to stay at home, and the arts and entertainment industries were one of the few things keeping everyone from pulling our own eyes out of our skulls from abject fear and boredom?

Remember that?
How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.

Shocked to read this awful news

John was a top egyptologist and cultural critic, though I first knew him as a regular customer at Penhaligon’s in Covent Garden back when I used to work there. While selling him a cologne I asked “Is that an 8th Doctor TARDIS keychain?” We became friends instantly.
A dear, dear friend, John J Johnston, has died suddenly this morning. Am devastated. He let me stay at his granny flat when I visited London a few years ago, and I had a brilliant night out with him and his husband John. A kind, gentle soul. This is a bleak day.

In baffling news, The Tiny Angry Witch has a literary agent!

(I'm not being cute: I still don't have a literary agent. But The Tiny Angry Witch does. I have the contract right here.)

Huge thanks to Charlie Olsen of Inkwell Management! Now I'd better help that Witch to write a children's book...
