BBC Four are showing Nuts In May next Saturday night at 9.50pm, introduced by Mike Leigh. Praying it's in HD. This shitty world needs HD Nuts in May.

After over a year of exhaustive research, struggles with anxiety and negative thoughts at the prospect of spending money purely on myself, and ultimately frustration at my procrastination in the face of rocketing prices, this week I finally pulled the trigger on building my dream PC.

And breathe.

Happy New Year to you all. 2025 wasn't a classic: had a few health issues, struggled with motivation, anxiety and self-esteem at times, then cruelly capped off by a death in a family over Christmas.

So I'm keen to make the most of 2026 and begin a positive new chapter in my life. Starting now. x

"The Time Monster" being screened not once, not twice but three times on Boxing Day 2025, with the first two episodes of "The Three Doctors" thrown in twice for good measure.

What a time to be alive.
12 hours of Jon Pertwee on Boxing Day! I mean knowing this channel it'll be 5 episodes not necessarily from the same story... and in the wrong order... on a loop...but still.

BBC Four showed episode 1 of The Ice Warriors last night. If you watched and curious about such things, my latest video looks at some little mysteries in the missing two episodes

This Innes Lloyd documentary on BBC Four is drier than most people's leftover turkey on Boxing Day. Some lovely rare footage though.

"...and the Ice Warriors part one is on BBC Four tonight at 8pm."

Thanks Roy.

We may not get to sleep in our own bed tonight but every cloud has a silver lining... in this case Chinese Pork Fried Rice, Salt and Pepper Chips, Prawn Crackers and a bottle of Lucozade. Absolute smash.

The missus and I have just arrived at the station with all our bags, Christmas presents etc after a weekend away seeing family.

All trains home tonight have been cancelled.

Deep fucking joy. Merry Christmas, Northern.

If it was going to happen to him at any time of year it had to be now, I guess. RIP Chris Rea.

I mean, if they've suddenly had to pull Mandy at short notice then surely there'll be a WILTY-shaped hole in BBC One's prime time Boxing Day schedule...
