Seen several Torygraph articles floating around that have the theme "Poor rich people, we have it so hard."

Then I got an ad on Youtube "Us rich people pay 29% of all income tax.😭"

Pathetic.

Rich people need less newspapers/news outlets.

Sky News doing their best to distort reality and lobby government too.

I have to confess as a trans person it’s so scary to see near the entire media engaged in blatant lying and trying to form false narratives and not just behind opinion pieces.

We need regulation overhaul

The home secretary is fucking disgusting there is no ‘seamless” way of inflicting the violence of deporting children to a country they’ve never been to
The Home Office hopes the deportation of UK-born children will be seamless', a minister has said

The Express is furious about this because the moment you show those who repeat anti-immigration rhetoric the real human stories their narrative collapses.

The “immigrants” are people. Our friends, colleagues and family.

And it’s this nation of neighbours that is what makes Britain great.

The thing about rights is, they’re very hard to gain and very easy to lose.

Now that it has begun to slip, the precedent has been set, and in the next decade or so that “3 years” will slip out to 5 years, then 10, until the right to a trial by jury is lost, all under guise of “cutting the backlog”

I have a confession:
I just don't like sourdough that much.

It's less crispy, missing that fresh yeasty flavour and instead has that faint sour taste reminiscent of milk on the turn.

Beyond being easier to make and dietary restriction stuff I just can't understand the popularity of it.

This week's column is about a massive but scarcely-covered scandal.

I know this point has been made before, but it's *wild* that the sort of thing that 15 years ago would have been restricted to nazi internet forums and dodgy leaflets chucked around town centres is now just being printed in national newspapers. No idea how to fix this, but it definitely needs fixing
If the entirety of your op/ed compares demographic changes in London to the Khmer Rouge's mass murder of millions of people, you are willingly engaged in stochastic terrorism, and should be held responsible for any and all violent actions committed by fascists against non-white people

Lol!
I think we hear too much from a celebrity who just so happens to have (had?) neighbours like ex-PM David Cameron.

We need to hear more from people with compassion in politics, not connections.
They're all kicking off.

The last gaps of the old broken system that protected their power & wealth.

Change is coming.

The numbers in here are hilarious.

Do you use AI on the job?
Execs: 87%
Managers: 57%
Workers: 27%

Planned investment by 2030: $5T
"Necessary" annual revenue to justify that spend: $650B
Current annual revenue: $50B
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening
Recent surveys point to flatlining business adoption

Hong Kong fire and Grenfell are just alike. Fire spreading through unsafe building materials installed due to penny-pinching, killing dozens. One difference: before the HK fire is even out three executives at contractors have been arrested, eight years after Grenfell no-one has been arrested.

Ed isn't necessarily wrong here, but it's notable that Baron George Osborne of Gatley is missing from this circle.

That'll be because Ed served with him in the same government, and consistently toed the Tory line on austerity measures.

✅Things you can say in UK politics:
Let's build more houses.

It should be easier for young people to buy a home.

Renting is too precarious.

❌Things you can't say:
House prices must come down.

Houses are for living in.

Landlords are bad.

Houses don't exist to appreciate in value then cash out.
