Being a British parent is so weird bc you're actually worried about paying the sky high rent/mortgage & getting GP appointments but the entire press keeps telling you you're worried there's a trans person or immigrant nearby & the vat on Eton means there'll only be two skiing holidays this year

I feel quite old and out of touch, but can someone please tell me if this is a real thing? Or is it an AI-generated parody? I genuinely don’t know any more.

Could Starmer watch a video on his phone with volume on full blast, no headphones, on a train, next please?
If you want some good news this morning, I showed my three boys the PM doing the six/seven thing and now they have all stopped doing it.

Just a UK 'newspaper of record' admitting that it fabricated outright lies to support a political agenda.
Quite the correction by the Telegraph. The publication in question is @freemovement.bsky.social

This is Keir Starmer’s moment to stand up for Britain and call on Trump to drop his ludicrous lawsuit against the BBC.

The Prime Minister has spent months cosying up to Trump. If he can’t stop him from attacking one of our most precious institutions, what was it all for?

the man has admitted to sexually assaulting people and was legally proven by a court of law to be sexually assaulting people (a notoriously hard thing to do) but I’m sure this new evidence that he was sexually assaulting people will really wake up the base. It’ll be our lucky sexual assault evidence

The BBC should defend itself against Trump’s lawsuit in court.

The Panorama program may have edited that one speech, but challenging the suit in court would bring Trump’s many documented moves to support the Jan 6th insurrection back into the public domain again.

Doubt that Trump would get $1bn.

This is disgusting.
“It broke my heart, that was my savings towards a new car,” one woman who paid Milne tens of thousands of pounds told us. “He has just wiped me out.”

Who is Andrew Milne - the solicitor sending "very aggressive" letters to Sheffield homeowners?

Fwiw, the trend towards disclosing the ethnicity/nationality of suspects in high-profile cases has not solved any problem (disinformation is still thriving) and only fuels polarisation and creates opportunities for grifters.

I’ve recently been using network blocking software to stop me from accessing news websites (long story).

Anyway, I briefly lifted the block so I could read about the robbery at the Louvre.

First Google hit was the Daily Mail informing me that the jewels were stolen by Woke.

Blocker re-enabled.

We should not be surprised by Reform telling bare-faced lies. But we should be hugely disappointed that journalists are not bothering to challenge those lies.
This outburst by Tice should have more publicity. He made up a quote from Starmer’s speech, saying the PM had called on people to ‘take up arms’ against Reform.

This can't be shouted loud enough, Reform are guilty of working for a foreign state that sees the UK as an enemy. It's not just laughable, it's insulting that they pretend to be in any way patriotic or acting in this country's best interests.
