one note: most communities have mutual aid orgs you can help out by delivering food, boxing food, growing food, collecting food etc and they usually let you take food with you in exchange. a good way to connect to the community and comrades and help get food you need!

A lot of actual cops run protection rings around urban stores too! Call the cops on a shoplifter and they'll say "there's nothing we can do but we can recommend a private security service" and it's run by their (sometimes still on-duty) cop friends bsky.app/profile/lone...
