The thing is, this shouldn't even be a discussion in a free country. If any member of the public says the government's orders are illegal and should be refused, that is clearly protected speech. The speech of members of congress is even more protected than that of the general public.

Between this & Putnam confessing that he didn’t do much civic participation because he was busy writing, but his wife did the civic stuff! (explains why one of the suspects he tests in bowling alone that “may” be responsible for America’s decline in social capital is “women entering the workplace”

Some estimates say 30–50% of GDP growth this year is just AI spend. Strip out AI and data centers and business investment is flat, commercial construction is shrinking, and the only real bright spot is the AI boom which, so far, seems great for GDP and bad for workers.
