All football clubs should be majority fan owned (cf. the 50+1 rule in the Bundesliga).
Everybody should absolutely view this as an invitation to drop your spiciest soccer takes.
lol I’m gonna need bluesky’s biggest soccer post ever to balance out all the politics engagement im burying myself under.

We used to call this stupidity. There were smart people and stupid people and we let the smart people do the things they were good at and the stupid people were taken care of and didn't need to worry about what the smart people were doing. But now we let the stupid people think they're smart.

FC Heidenheim with a comfortable match against 4th tier Bahlinger SC.

Fun fact for me is that the Kaiserstuhl region in which Bahlingen is located is where my Giedeman(n) ancestors were from. (I still have long-distant cousins living in the area even if I don't know any of them.)

My annual "mitgliedskarte" from FC Heidenheim has arrived. 🙂🙂

It will be a hard year for FCH. The only silver lining is that it will be impossible for them to finish lower in the Bundesliga standings than they are expected to finish. 🙃

No Elinor Ostrom signposts today, but the hike from the Simmenfalle waterfall (1104 meters above sea level) to the top of Wildstrubel (3244 meters above sea level) is one that I (and my legs) will remember for a very long time.

I think it would be more correct to say that Sweden lost on penalties.

Took a hike above Lenk, Switzerland today and I looked over and saw a guide post that talked about Nobel Prize winning political-economist Elinor Ostrom. (Can't wait to add this to my course lecture slides about property rights.)

Chelsea 3 - 0 PSG
+
FC Heidenheim 0 - 2 Chelsea

FC Heidenheim > PSG
