This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

Spending too much time online will have catastrophic effects on your mental & emotional health. You need to be taking walks and talking to other people. You need to feel grass under your feet and wind on your face. You were made to live an embodied life.

In 2016, Ghislaine Maxwell falsely stated, under oath, that she was not aware that Jeffrey Epstein recruited underage girls for sex (you know, the ones she was actually recruiting on his behalf). She was charged with two counts of perjury for this.

Remind me why we give a shit what she says now?

New YouGov polling. A monumental failure of our political class to educate, a monumental failure of our media to report fairly, for a generation

"ChatGPT is great for brainstorming!"

Actually we have a tool for that already! It's called thinking. We use our brain. It's called brainstorming! Clue is in the name.

Holocaust denial is a tool of ideological hatred, spread today primarily through social media. Thanks to the “Stop Denial” tool, everyone can now take meaningful action to defend the truth and the dignity of victims of Auschwitz.

I asked ChatGPT what will I be?
Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?
Here's what it said to me:

Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
STICK YOUR HAND IN THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL

You may not feel it, but the ground beneath you may be sinking.

In fact, the surface of California’s Central Valley is nearly 30 vertical feet lower than it was a century ago.

Why is this happening? Because our planet is rapidly drying. THREAD/

Men, you won’t find the answers to life’s questions in grindset manuals and self-help books, you’ll find them in myth, history, philosophy and literature, but some of you aren’t ready to have that conversation.

“Just calm down and let people enjoy chatgpt.” Sorry, no. I find it creepy that folks are treating a machine that mimics human speech as their friend / therapist. It is feeding you lies. It is destroying your thinking abilities. Shut it off. Talk to other humans. Go outside.

"AI" has nothing todo with intelligence, it's just statistics. And as Kurt Gödel already found out in 1931, with his incompleteness theorem, computers will never be able to be really intelligent, which required being conscious. "They lost the plot". They only smelled the profit.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

Me being a broken record on this: Don't trust consumer-facing "AI" for anything.
A federal judge in Wyoming received a motion citing nine cases. Of the nine, eight don't exist.

When she demanded an explanation, the lawyers said their "artificial intelligence platform ‘hallucinated’ the cases in question."

Lawyers Caught Citing AI-Hallucinated Cases Say It’s a ‘Cautionary Tale’ For All Law Firms
The attorneys filed court documents referencing eight non-existent cases, then admitted it was a "hallucination" by an AI tool.

If there were neither rule of law nor an elected government, billionaires like Elon Musk would BE our government.

Our rights and freedoms will only last so long as we common people are able to pool our wealth and voices into an organization (e.g., a state) powerful enough to keep oligarchs in line.
