The popup gazebo my wife bought over the summer blew away last night. It didn't go far, but the top caught on our gutter and the frame is bent to hell. There is no salvaging it. She is upset

I’m no historian but I wrote a book about state failure. When a leader calls for executions of political detractors (and is not being removed from office), we’re in a post-democracy period. When the detractors start being executed, we’ve moved squarely into fascism. This interregnum will be brief.

Not only is this the second death of a postal worker in a week, it's the 3rd at this facility in 14 months. Like this facility, mine has terrible cell service. Management has no training for these situations & no accountability for the consequences of these events.
