Democrats have had a mandate for over a decade now to just vote against everything Trump does and they can’t manage that. It’s a serious problem.

And if you really want to indulge in fantasy, think about First Lady Britainy Beshear (or your First Lady of choice) christening the first of these as… the USS Joseph R. Biden (BBG-1).

It would be worth Trump still having his wits just to see that.
There is almost no chance that Trump will be President when and if one of these ships is commissioned. And there is a good chance that Trump will no longer be alive when the first hull hits the water.

This story is local for me, there is large and loud support for the targeted eateries like the Taco Shack. But mainly there is resentment that this person and her lawyer are degrading everyone's trust in the laws with no benefit to the community, just dollars for themselves.

So fascists love brutality, not because it creates safety & security & plenty, but because it creates danger & uncertainty & lack.

Creating something of value is a threat to those who create nothing and deliver only theft.

But if you hold power despite creating nothing but pain, you dominate.

This is a terrible truth, and I hate it.
There's a series of things (like the ballroom, Gulf of America) that we're going to have to *undo* the moment this guy is out of office.
And yet I can already hear future Democrat presidents saying "I'm focused on the people's work, not the knucklehead stuff" and just leave this man's shit up.

I have been saying these things for many years and have typically been called a polarizing extremist for saying it, so it is satisfying in a grim sort of way to start seeing mainstream publications come to these regrettable but unavoidable conclusions.

I assume that dictates like this are because right wing leadership has never held any position outside of politician (including think tank sinecures as political). No experience in a world where some type of accomplishment is normal. All posturing all the time gets attention and promotion.

It’s true. We shouldn’t pretend that. Trumpist culture is not the same as American culture and not equal. Trumpist culture is proudly ignorant, defiantly against America’s founding values and subsequently developed values, venomously bigoted, and generally despicable.

He goes on to say "we aren’t going to pretend here that all cultures are of equal value or the same."

People still default too often to the fact that Trumps base won’t care about one revelation or another. But as elections keep showing us, the universe of people other than his base is much bigger and we do care. So exposing shit does matter and it’s worth sharing those things so others oppose him.
