It’s a violation of TOS to be a Johnny Cash fan.
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2

For my first act as pope, I would also invite all of my favorite movie stars to my house.
Pope Leo has shared his four favorite movies of all time, as the Vatican prepares to host dozens of actors and directors in a “World of Cinema” gathering on Saturday at his official residence. See which films made the pope's list. nyti.ms/4p3exK9

To die at the hands of an artist
To become medium to mastery
To be the soil of a stout and hearty tree
You tried so hard, you couldn’t roast her.

To be the corpse that breaths life
To a spark of art where naught lives.
Finally, his mortality shall yield
He hath created:

They caved in March so they could get a better deal now. They’re caving now so they can get a better deal in some indeterminate future. The better deal is always just beyond their reach, but continuing to cave will get them there. And if you don’t agree with that, you don’t understand Politics,

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Yuuuuuuuuup.
Did you ever wonder what you would have done as a citizen in historical times of incredible cruelty: slavery, the holocaust, etc.?

You don't have to wonder anymore! You're doing it!

Posted this in response to someone pushing the myth. Instantly got blocked 🤷‍♂️

Kinda disappointing too because it was someone I thought of as on the same page as far as the value of accurate science communication.

Anyways, turns out most of what they detected was fatty tissue and not plastic.

Thought you might find the podcast interesting as it discusses the microplastics problem as well as addressing the flaws in that particular story. Genuinely thought you preferred information over sensationalism.

But yeah, responding with snark and turning off comments is also a way to respond.

Dr. Benjamin Carson, once America’s preeminent neuroscientist, a true visionary and genius in his field, was given a quick once over by Trump who immediately was like, “Now there’s a guy who knows a thing or two about Section 8! Give him HUD, he’ll probably be fine, or not, don’t really care.”
EXT. WHITE HOUSE-DAY

ERIC ADAMS approaches.

ERIC
Hi! I’m supposed to start work here today.

SECURITY glances up, then looks away quickly.

Not here. Blacks at HUD.

ERIC
Sorry?

The price has stayed the same because the asset factor has been removed. As soon as you install the game, it no longer has any monetary value, you can’t resell it. Publishers can then sell many more “copies” of the game.

A license does not have the same value as physical media, it’s shrinkflation.
The only way I’d consider paying $100 for a game is if it’s a complete game on physical media that can’t be ripped away or ruined.

No beta early access nonsense, no day one patch, no live service required for a single player rpg, none of that bullshit.

Musk hyping V3 of the Optimus robot, which should be "available" in Q1.

"It won't seem like a robot, it will seem like a person in a robot suit... which is sorta how we started this," Musk says, without a hint of irony. You'll have to poke it to tell it's not a human, he says (um...)
