Chilly start to Veterans Day across Wisconsin, but it's actually a bit warmer than this time yesterday.

We've seen some pockets of snowfall this morning across the state and there are some slick spots out there - so take it easy on the drive in to work.

Or, and hear me out, maybe we don’t need in game odds with every play, and we don’t need every game and show to be sponsored by one of the sports books, and maybe while we’re at it, we can put some major limits on the transfer portals and NIL.

A day after two Major League Baseball pitchers were indicted for allegedly participating in a scheme to rig bets on MLB games, the league announced it has worked with partner sportsbooks to limit prop bets on pitches thrown.

These guys gotta put on some longer spikes. The freezing temperatures at the not-frozen-tundra are creating frosty and slick conditions on the turf.

To be fair, the Severe Thunderstorm Warning did have a Tornado Possible tag.

Emergency management controls the outdoor warning sirens.

Unless they have a policy that says they absolutely won’t turn the sirens on unless there’s a tornado warning, then they didn’t do anything wrong. 🤷‍♂️

Headline mad libs:

(Celestial body name) (any verb or has any characteristic), Loeb says this is evidence it may be sign of alien origin
Once again, Jason shows that Loeb is full of crap.
I've summarized the truth about Loeb's 10 "anomalies" about 3I/ATLAS in one post.

Hearing that WPC is going to start doing the Day 4-7 forecasts for all of the country instead of the individual WFOs.

I’m not a big fan of this. Keeping forecasts local ensures higher quality forecasts through the whole period.

This map of storm reports shows just how localized lake effect snow can be.

It's all highly dependent on where the band comes in, and you can see a significant gradient of snow accumulations over just a couple miles.

Kenosha and Racine have been under the firehose of lake effect snow for hours now, and we’ve seen some impressive snow totals so far, with 8-10 inch reports.

Highlighting the wildest part:

“As a result, the expectation is for the lake effect snow bands to be unusually intense with peak snow rates of 3 to locally 5 inches per hour, frequent lightning and thunder, and pockets of hail…12 to 18 inches are expected with a ceiling of 2 to 4 feet…”

Am I missing something? This really doesn’t seem that out of the ordinary compared to other Arctic surges…

🤔
Oh Canada, that’s coldddd!
What did we ever do to deserve this?
On a serious note, that’s one of the most elongated north-south Arctic intrusions I can remember seeing!
