One of my favorite things about hockey intermissions is how low tech replacing the net is.

Too much water in the post holes from the zambonis? Here, use a turkey baster.

Here's a look at the latest snow reports from the last day. West-central Wisconsin picked up a hefty helping of snow, with a swath of 6-12", and a few totals exceeding that..

Busy weather map this morning as rain and snow continue across Wisconsin and the winds are getting ready to pick up.

Wind gusts of 30-40 miles per hour will be common across the state today, and closer to the Illinois border, we could see gusts of 40-50 miles per hour.

Hold onto your hats!

Grant, Crawford, and Richland counties have been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning for tonight, with 4-6" of snow and 40 mph wind gusts possible.

The rest of southwestern Wisconsin is under a Winter Weather Advisory for the potential of 2-5" of snow and 35 mph wind gusts.

Lightening?

Positives aren’t necessarily stronger than negatives, but can be.

It’s going to be a long lightning season.

As suspected, this measurement was incorrect.

This was a Davis weather station that was reporting wind over 130 miles per hour for 5 hours.
Take this measurement with not just a grain of salt…but the whole salt block.

There’s no ULM mesonet station here. No AWOS. No ASOS. No RAWS. PWS? Maybe?

A rotation couplet shows up south of here, but nothing to indicate 132 mph winds.

This LSR shouldn’t have been released.

High Fire Danger across southern Wisconsin today - avoid all outdoor burning!

A Level 2/3 Fire Weather Risk is in place over southwestern Wisconsin. This is the first time with Critical Fire Danger in Wisconsin since April 2018.
