We have reached 1.4 degrees celsius #globalheating according to NASA data (smooth black trend line). Breaching 1.5 is now inevitable. From now on the fight is to keep overshoot as small and short as possible.

And if the "strategy" is to force a choice between Labour and Reform based on voter allergy to Reform policies, why the Hell would you choose to adopt Reform's policies yourselves?! Modern politics is a war of values and Labour has chosen the same side as Farage.

Apparently, Tory, Labour and Reform politics is now just about competing to see who can appease the most repulsive racists and grift most effectively for foreign billionaire fascists. They all need to go.

If we accept someone is a genuine refugee and they build a life here, perhaps have children born here, what is the advantage to us of expelling them once we’ve persuaded ourselves that their country of origin is safe?

No progressive can vote Labour anymore. Think how many people with settled status, naturalisation, refugee parents and grandparents must feel at this. It’s more than just today’s and tomorrow’s refugees. This is two fingers at millions of British citizens. It creates even more polarisation. Horrible
This contribution to the volume of human misery is yet another policy from Labour based on a false premise, in this case that refugees are overly attracted to Britain. It will increase bureaucratic limbo, thus making worse the problem of "cohesion" it purports to solve.

This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.

Leaving refugees in permanent limbo and unable to build a new life in the UK would be a complete abdication of our humanitarian responsibilities

"The era of permanent protection is over"

Is this Labour government really saying it was wrong in principle to let these refugees of the last 75 years to stay, settle and become British - and they believe that should NEVER happen again in principle or practice?

“In 1789, liberty meant freedom from tyranny; in 1989, freedom from ideology. In 2025, perhaps liberty means freedom from mediation – the right to reality unfiltered, to meaning unbranded, to truth unscrolled. Down with the feed. Long live the world.”

A key point about "volunteering" is that it should be "voluntary". By forcing migrants to volunteer this government not only treats us as if we are a free resource, but also ignores everything else we go through. This policy is dehumanising and exploitative.

So Wes Streeting allies want him to become Prime Minister - for the Labour Government to tank even faster.

We don't have time to play these silly games - people are suffering now.

Keep growing the alternative - they need replacing.

I suppose there would be a certain ironic elegance if the thing that seals the fate of a Labour government whose path to power began with a Tory Chancellor triggering a bond market crash is a Labour chancellor triggering another bond market crash.
