Austerity 2.0. Attacks on disabled people. Arming genocide.

The Labour Party has turned a fundamental corner — and I don’t see it coming back.

Starmer genuinely loves football, like, there's evidence of him LOVING football for decades. And yet...when he talks about it....he sounds like someone who has never seen a minute of it. He sounds like someone who only just heard the word "football" earlier that day.

The voters outside looked from Labour to Conservatives, and from Conservatives to Reform, and from Reform to Labour again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

This is the logical consequence of Labour’s appeasement of the far right - this is an arms race Labour should never seek to win

It is so notable how the language of asylum has changed in the post-Farage/small boats world. “Illegal migrants” was once reserved for right wing papers, Now government spokespeople call basic sustenance and shelter for refugees banned from working “handouts”.

For the last 17 years, I have been secretly re-washing the dishes after my wife does them. She just doesn't do it correctly. Water not hot enough/not enough fairy liquid to de grease properly. I often wait until she's asleep and then go down and do them so I can sleep soundly.

At 16 I did a part time job in a new supermarket. I asked who counts the people. Blank looks. "For the millionth customer prize," I explained. A colleague explained they just pick a photogenic person for a news story. That's when I realised there will never be justice.

My NHS employer has just confirmed redundancies are coming. For the second time in my 16 year NHS career tens of thousands of NHS staff, many with decades of experience will be thrown on the scrap heap. Many worked on the frontline (including me) in the pandemic. This is Streeting's reward for us.

It's funny how much the BBC and Labour have in common. Challenged by the Right, they immediately throw their base under a bus, in a doomed and foolish attempt to appease those who will always hate them.

Libertarian socialism says that enterprises ought to be owned and managed in a democratic fashion by the people who participate in them. Our current system is totalitarian. Orders come from the top and they are transmitted down, and at the very bottom you are allowed to rent yourself to survive.
