I have some time this morning so I will introduce the project I’m taking part in. I am sailing on Saga Farmann, a reconstruction of the Klåstad ship. It dates from 998 and was found near the the site of Kaupang in southern Norway. Only 40% of the original ship survives #Saga25 #MedievalSky 1/

It’s the summer of 2025, and a patient wakes up from a 5-year coma.

Doc: what year is it?

Patient: 2020.

Doc: Can you tell me who the president is?

Patient: I… I… I don’t know!

Doc: Oh, no. There’s been brain damage.

Intern: Wait! Doctor! It’s okay! Their chart says they were a reporter!
Once again: "Who was president in 2020?" Is a question so many politicians, pundits and even mainstream media have a hard time answering correctly.
Rep. Mike Collins: "Fast-forward to the Biden administration. They put this on steroids. Example? Summer of love, where rioters were out there burning police stations, assaulting officers."

(Donald Trump was in fact the president in 2020.)

I am begging Canadians to look at government policies objectively and then ask yourselves "If Poilievre was behind this, would I be mad?"

A horrifying amount of you are in a partisan cult where you're re-framing terrible policies as Good Actually! just because your guy is behind them.

It doesn’t matter what - gumbo, soup, stirfry - and it doesn’t matter the size or shape of the cooking vessel - stock pot, crock pot, wok.

I can take one glance and know *exactly* which of my two dozen sizes of Tupperware I need for the leftovers.

Sometimes the accuracy frightens me.

I am well aware that in The First Noel, in “to certain poor shepherds in fields where they lay,” the word “certain” was written as an adjective.

I don’t care. The verb is better.
