This billboard has several images that rotate. The one right before this was a picture of Dolly Parton with copy that said, “Be kind. Pass it on.”

Ok first, our best estimates are there are about 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Second, we all know how easy it is to get a mortgage as a day laborer, produce picker, cleaning staff, restaurant worker, or other jobs you can do under the table. Nothing to do with housing costs rising for 16 yrs
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Kirk Douglass and Harvey Keitel existing at the same moment in time is one of those brain breaking things like Pablo Picasso could have very well seen The Godfather in the theater
Classic sci-fi movie Saturn 3 celebrates its joyful 46th anniversary today. Obviously, you’re familiar with it – directed by Stanley ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ Donen, it starred Kirk Douglas, Farrah Fawcett and Harvey Keitel, and had a script by Martin Amis. It couldn’t fail. Ah, and yet, and yet... 🧵

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

Holy shit. Tubi with the elbow drop from the top rope.

This is how we rebuild Saturday Mornings for the next generations.
In cartoon news, Tubi just revealed practically the entirety of the classic Warner Bros/Hanna-Barbera/Cartoon Network library is coming to the platform this March.

For those who don't wanna visit the bird site, here's the full list of what's coming.

Such a fun film to produce, with a truly great cast & crew. It was thanks to the late, great Jim Jacks that we were able to get the film made. He fought for our little film and so many others, including films by the Coen Brothers, Kevin Smith and Richard Linklater.

You can trace the idea that "Real America is rural" through presidential candidates of the 19th and early 20th century always presenting themselves as being linked to the frontier or the farm or, at the very least, a small town.

But that was never entirely true then and not remotely true now.

The President, two of his current Cabinet secretaries, his former strategist, his biggest donor, and his pending Fed Chair nominee are all in the files of a pedophile who ran a sex trafficking ring, while the attorney general and a former Cabinet secretary let him get away with it.

Seems kinda bad?

So much of our present crisis is coddled, ignorant, and short sighted people tearing down the institutions that protect them because they don’t understand that bad things can happen.
